The real expansion of international relations is just one of the exciting, on-going projects for MTVA. In order to both improve and promote the quality of our output, MTVA continues to accept invitations to attend a wide variety of international television and radio festivals throughout the broadcasting year.
By attending as many of these festivals as possible, MTVA constantly strives both to fulfil its public service remit and to popularize the very best programmes produced in Hungary.
MTVA also prides itself in providing current and active jury members for such glittering events as the Prix Italia, Prix Europa, Prix Circom, INPUT and URTI festivals, in addition to a host of others.
As a result, our productions have been showcased alongside Europe’s best. For example, our professional expertise was recently acknowledged at the Monte Carlo TV Festival – where the representation of Hungarian public service media is regularly welcomed as a valued jury member - when a Hungarian winner was fortunate enough to be chosen in the category of Best News Documentary in 2013. Also in 2013, representatives from MTVA were selected, by a panel of their illustrious peers, as presidents of the jury for both the Prix Italia and the Premios Ondas festivals.
One more priority for the International Relations Department is to keep abreast of the most up-to-date trends in media. That is why we continue to offer our employees regular opportunities to attend only the best international workshops and training. It is our stated intention to both maintain and surpass the high professional standards which we have set for ourselves at MTVA.
