On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Hungarian Radio Children's Choir MTVA invited the children's choir leaders of the EBU member broadcasters. During the two-day programme professionals from Albania, Bulgaria, The Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Russia and Romania visited the Kodály School on Marczibányi square, learned about the practical use of the Kodály method and attended the Hungarian Radio Children's Choir rehearsal. The Hungarian Radio Children's Choir’s anniversary concert presented both classical Hungarian choral works and premieres of contemporary pieces.
On 27 March Katalin Hamada (Executive Director of the Public Service Cultural Nonprofit Ltd), Klára Brebovszky (conductor of the Hungarian Radio Children’s Choir), László Matos (choir director of the Hungarian Radio Children’s Choir) and Sándor Kabdebó (conductor of the Hungarian Radio Children’s Choir) held a presentation about expanding the repertoire of the choir and integrating its work into the school curriculum. They also discussed how to secure the education of new generations. The round table discussion led by Ádám Bősze was about issues concerning children’s choirs in general and the possibilities of international cooperation.
